Ball screw and guide rail replacement is now a thing of the past! 

The problem 
Ball screw and guide rails sticking together on a 2 screw lathe 

The facts 
An automobile manufacturer has 5 lathes in operation, with the workpiece machining being cooled with a commercially available cooling lubricant. During the turning process the ball screws and guide rails are exposed to the cooling lubricant. 

The consequence 
During machine downtimes at the weekend, oily incrustations/dirt formed on the running surfaces of the ball screws and the guide rails due to the drying of the cooling lubricant (cooling lubricant = water/oil mixture). When the machine was put into operation once more, these deposits penetrated the nuts of the ball screws and the roller carriages of the guide rails, causing the screw nuts and carriages to seize up.

The innotech solution

For several years now, the running surfaces of the ball screws and the guide rails have been repetadly sprayed with innotech 100 High Performance Maintenance Oil (HLW 100) over a specific period of time.

Since then, no ball screws or guide carriages have had to be changed for the reasons mentioned above.

Conclusion 
Within one year it was possible to save approx. € 114,800 on these 5 lathes alone.
