Chain lubrication - the underestimated savings potential!

All lubrication is carried out for the purpose of reducing friction. This leads to the question: how high is the reduction of friction in the long run? For most users, however, this aspect is not a priority. The consequence? They run chains to their breaking point, without taking into account how much energy is wasted unnecessarily as a result. However, it is precisely in the energy sector that there is an enormous amount of unused potential!

A practical example: in a transport chain in a large automobile factory in Bavaria about 30 per cent drive energy was saved. A similar result was achieved in a sugar factory.

The reason for this - or how was it possible? The chains were and continue to be regularly lubricated with innotech’s “SIS 105” synthetic inner bearing lubrication.
